This past weekend (February 28-March 2, 2019) was the 40th annual Decadent Cabaret in Eau Claire, WI. A mini-festival filled with eclectic attire, 30+ local bands covering legendary musicians, aerial performances by the Torch Sisters, artwork from Artisan Forge Studios, glassblowing and more. This is a one of a kind weekend here in the Chippewa Valley that a few hundred people attend throughout three days.
The past three years I spent my time behind the bar, first when it was held at my place of work at House of Rock, which then closed down in 2017 (RIP) – then when Decadent moved to a new event space called The Metro. This year I decided to participate in a different way, via behind a camera instead of a bar. I’ve taken photos for nearly 12+ years, but haven’t kept up with it much within the past few years. My Canon 7D has been collecting dust in the corner and this was the perfect time for it to get some attention.
I attended Friday and Saturday of Decadent and snapped more than 2,500 raw photos of the event within the two days. I didn’t even attend ALL of the acts for both of those days – just think of the collection of photos I’d have then.
Below you will find photos from Friday night’s performances by: The Outlaw Renegades, The Jaggernauts, Orenda Fugue, Pit Wagon, Stare Across, Yam Cannon and some of The Torch Sister from in between sets.
Please give credit if you are going to use any of these photos.
